Universalist falls into the same trap as racism . Differentialist anti racism is better. Universalist anti racism wrongly only acknowledges the race of people instead of their more specific identities , the latter of which is inly of secondary importance to them . Universalist anti racism does not recognize otherness since it ties together otherness to sameness through an assimilationist lens . Differential anti racism is better since it reaches that the irreducible plurality of humans constitute a veritable treasure. Differential antiracism is good because it restores the affirmative meaning of universal not in opposition to difference but by starting the recognition of difference.
